Fellow enthusisasts - particularly those of the Apple persuasion,

Can you help? I suddenly cannot see the AV website any more. I've tried uninstalling Flash 7.0 then reinstalling Flash 6.0, but then when I try and go into the site it says that I need to install Macromedia Flash - I am going round in circles!!

I use an Apple iBook G3 running OS 10.2.8. Any clues? Anyone??

Thanks in advance for any replies received.

Cheers,

JR

Can't uninstall Flash and won't your browser then automatically download the needed version?

I haven't got an Apple, but IE does automatically download whatever plug-in is needed. I guess Apple shoudl have similar settings, so maybe try not to reinstall manually, but let it install itself.

Well I don't know if Naim have been tinkering behind the scenes or what but I'm delighted to be able to report that I can now see the AV mini-site in Camino, with Flash 7 installed!

Result!

Cheers,

JR Smile

Jon,

That's great news. Do you know if it works with Safari or FireFox? I was trying last week with Flash 7 and 6, but had the same issues of not working at all (7), and then a no-Flash detection error (6). Repairing permissions didn't help.

Cheers,
Mark.

Hi,

I've just been on the AV Naim site and it works perfeclty with Safari (PB G4 OSX 10.3.6). Great job on the AV website !

I had not to download the latest version of Flash, may be is it already installed but I really don't know, I suppose I have the latest update of Flash.

You can test your Flash player install at the following links. They should tell you the version of the player that you have installed e.g. 7,0,19,0.

Macromedia Flash Player

Shockwave and Flash Player

Note: you'll need to click "About" in the Flash Player section to get the player version in the second link.

Richarm,

It works in Safari too, but I don't know about FireFox - I didn't know there was a version for the Mac.

Jon,

There is a Mac version now available. If you go to http://www.mozilla.org it should auto-detect your operating system, and provide you with the relevant download link.

Yeah thanks Mark, in fact I had a look last night after my last post above and found it Smile and have now downloaded it accordingly. I'm pleased to say that the site works in FireFox too!

Cheers,

JR

Yeah, I also checked the site out with FireFox and Safari last night, and was pleased to see it working with both. Firefox was probably the slower of the two, and felt a tad more unstable than Safari (it locked up and died on me at one point). However, it's working, and that's good.
