I'm playing the new Donald Fagen disc and it came with a second disc, which says it's DVD-A but also has a DTS track on it. I don't have the DVD-A board in my DVD5, but would like to play the DTS track.

All I seem to be able to get is a PCM stereo out of the disc and when I press the Audio button on the DVD5, it says it's usual Operation Not Possible.

Any ideas how to get to this track, or am I just misreading the back of the CD package and there's only a DVD-A disc with it ?

Is there any on screen graphics?

Roy, your DVD5 should play DVDA Stereo as it is, it only needs additional boards to play multi-channel DVDA?

Yeah, the DVD5 reads, DVD-A, then flashes it's lines, then goes Menu and brings up and on screen menu.

I don't expect it to do DVD-A without the board, but I'm not sure whether it's not giving me the DTS track, or whether it has a DTS track.

I feel a need to get my 300quid Pioneer DVD player out to see what it says :-(
