Hi,
For the moment I use a NAP 200 for my PAIR of center speakers. ... and it rocks. I have the opportunity to buy a V 145 but that is a mono amp. Would it be dangerous for the amp if I plug a pair of speakers on the unique output ? (I had done it before with a 175 ... without any problem) If it is ok, will a 145 not made for a pair of speakers be better than a 200 made for it ? |

Go for the 145. It will transform you center channel voicing: clear, more intelligible.
But why 2 center: is it like me: you screen is large and you have one center over the screen and one under it: so voices come from the center of it. |

Thanks,
In fact I use a triphonic system : a passiv sub on which are connected a pair of speakers. They are on each side of a 52" TV and the sound is perfectly centered. To me, it is even better than a mono speaker when watching mono channels like news channels. |

Thanks Manu,
I've bought the V145 on your advice and you're right, the V145 offers much more comfort with the dialogues. There are accents I had difficulties to understand such as the ones of the south-east of the USA (Kyra Sedgwick in "The Closer" for exemple). But with the better articulation of the 145 it is now almost completly understandable to me. It is magic ! What is strange is that my 200 on the front seems also better ? Deeper and wider ? By the way : I have sent you an MP on the "french side". I don't know if you still check your messages over there ? |

Hi Karyboue,
Sorry never go on the french side, no time. I have even probably lost the link. Email me at infoatdimexsdotcom The 145 is unfortunately probably the best kept secret in the Naim range. |
