I see in the Times yesterday that Arcam are bring out a 5 channel version of the Solo, the Solo DVD for about 2k. It will be interesting to see how this stacks up against the n-Vi and how they've managed to get 5 channels of amplification into their box.

Can't say i'll be swapping my n-Vi for one though

Lol - yep. Even plugged my NTL box into it at the weekend (forgive me for using a Belkin Optical cable from Comet ) and its working fine.

Compared to the two Arcam players i had in the weeks before i saw sense and ordered the n-Vi

Congrats on acquiring a unit that is (seemingly) in 100% working order - now let's hope it stays that way

I think it's bloody great. Taken a few weeks to burn in and its suddenly got the flow it was missing compared to what i'm used to. The Neats are sounding superb too - bass units take an age to run in.
