I'm in the market for a budget 32" LCD/Plasma TV. My budget is unfortunately only £500. Any suggestions folks. Pref with Freeview built in.

Regards

Diccus

Diccus, I was in Currys today and they have an LG 32 incher which frankly was stunning at 500 quid. Sadly none of these companies have taken a note from apples book and give them simple names.

They seem to be knocking around the web for around 400 quid, and at this price range I have seen nothing else that comes close.

For another 50 you can start looking at the latest Samsung range, this years models have a circle dead centre at the bottom of the screen, many shops and interwebs are trying to sell last years old stock so keep an eye out.

For my money right now, LG or Samsung.

Head down to Richer Sounds. They have a very good £500 Panasonic & Sony within your price range. You could even save a few mor quid and get a 42inch Panasonic plasma. You can check them out on line too.

I noticed an article on AV Zombie saying someone (I can't remember who) was about to release a 32 in plasma too.

Regards,

Huw

LG have got a 32" plasma coming out. Pointless really.

LCDs are good for up to 32". After that, plasmas are the way to go.

Well Diccus;

Try to go for a plasma. The blacks are deeper and the colors are more vivid and interesting. Panasonic make reasonably priced plasmas that look good. If u will go for LCD then samsung is a safe way to go. Wish u luck!

Not pointless if you want a plasma if it gives a better picture but can't fit bigger than a 32" in the available space.
