I have asked this before but never really got a satisfactory answer. I have Electa Amator II's and Solo centre, with a 52 and 135's. I want to get the SF rears but cannot afford it so I would like an interim suggestion of around £150. Second hand is fine.

The only natural match to the SFs is another pair of SFs. There is no satisfactory answer per se simply because SF don't make £150 speakers. The best advice is to make a choice:

1. Wait, save up and eventually buy the SF rears. In the meantime, run in 3 channel mode.

2. Audition a few speakers until you find something of a similar sonic presentation. IIRC the SFs are warmish, so look for speakers with a warmish character like B&W DM600s.
