Please could someone advise me on the emaximum advised length between a DVD player and the receiver/processor?

Also for the distance between the pre out of the receiver to the input of my 52?

Thanks in advance

With Chord company cable you can run to 20m.
Maybe 5m is max for Digital I don't know.

I wouldn't think anywhere under 10m was that big a deal.

In both cases, there are some cables which do long runs better than others. One of the best cables for long runs in Chord Company's Chameleon Silver Plus. This is used a lot in studios to plug in microphones. I'm not an expert on the subject but my understanding is for the reason it's so good is that it has a blend of capacitance and impedance which keep losses at a minimum over distance, thus producing a better result than other possibly more expensive cables which don't have such favourable characteristics.

I believe the second best Chord cable for this application is the Chord Chrysalis, for similar reasons as above.

these notes are for analogue only - I don't know the values for Chord's digital interconnects.

Frank.
