Think if you hold down the SETUP button for a couple of seconds the menus appear on the display instead of your tv Discovered this when I had one on loan for the weekend (couple of months back).

John,
Having gone through your trials and tribulations are you going to post a short review on what you think of the box now you've got it?

short review, sound and pq are both excellent, stereo is very good even through my mk17 home cinema speakers, multi channel also very good ie dvd-audio ( apart from the bug that naim know about ) dvds in dts or dd 5-1 also stand out more than they did with the denon, sub seems more controlled don't have to keep altering out-put between cd or dvds, as i say with pq, its seems very good via component and panny pw6b, very different from my arcam dv-89, still unsure if i find the n-vi that much better pq wise though.

DVI and component are progressive only.
I also find that my centre channel needs adjusting up by 1 or two stops after setup, this I think is user preference though.
(I say this as I always set up via an SPL meter, so all levels should be correct).
Do you find DTS ok?

av@naim, dts is fine, i know its not the n-vi as i also found the same problem on my previous av receivers, i just wondered if you could adjust the sound levels without going into the main menu all the time,

Sounds suspiciously like a happy ending!
Glad things worked out for you.
