hi guys,
i am moving house very soon and want to set my allaes up as fronts for hi-fi AND surround sound but am unsure how to link allaes to processor . will eventually invest in an nvi but have to make do with what ive got a present which is... kef eggs - sony processor - marantz dvd. and a rel strata 5 which is wired to my naim 180 amp.

in case theres any confusion the sub is connected through the LFE output to the 180.

You will need to check if your Sony processor has pre-out capability. If so, you would take the front left and right signal out of the processor and into an input your 82. The n-Vi has this ability.

hi guys,
just an update.
i have sourced a cable through flashback on ebay and have connected via the pre-out to the 82 5pin din socket. just watched a couple of dvds and the allaes are doing a fine job. very detailed and punchy. for a laugh i also viewed through 8 speakers which was quite amazing.
thats 1pr allaes + 3 x kef eggs as fronts
2 x kefs as rears and a rel sub.
overall worth £20. must now demo some naim av gear to upgrade and then the allaes will really sing.
