Chris, I held back, and back, and back...and gave in! I know the Pioneers are a lot more money than all the other screens (apart from B&O perhaps), but the new G8 is sickeningly good. That said, with all this talk of Freeview HD, one wonders whether one should actually wait until plasmas appear with tuners built-in for reception of these channels (if they can already do so, my apologies...).

The G8's are a big step up from the 7's. However, they are still not as good as the Fujitsu's, specifically the 58 series. |

If you get the Hitachi brand in the UK then keep an eye out for their new plasma range later this year...1920 x 1080
I have been very impressed with their current 1080i range so the full 1080p panel should be good as well. Very good scalers and menu's that are easy to use and setup.
