Does anyone have any experience with programming one of these to operate an n-Vi? After 2 evenings of increasing stress I have just found that I need to reset the remote using the av then open, subt number 1 reset routine. I am not sure if the codes I have taught the 688 are now corrupt as some still work but not others e.g. Vol up and down but not prev and next track.

Are the codes you are using from the DVD5/AV2?

The bug only affects AV functions (input, vol etc).

-did you reset the n-vi system codes also as well as the remote? see below

To reset the n-Vi and remote control system codes:

a) - Power up n-Vi to disc input, open drawer
b) - press white DVD button on remote once
c) - press and hold SUBT and OPEN buttons simultaneously
d) - with OPEN and SUBT held, press 1
n-Vi front panel will now show briefly that the DVD system code has been returned to 25
e) - press white AV button on remote once
f) - press and hold SUBT and OPEN buttons simultaneously
g) - with OPEN and SUBT held, press 1
n-Vi front panel will now show briefly that the AV system code has been returned to 27

Now try the remote functions and also try to bring up setup menu on screen with remote setup button.
