I currently run an older Pioneer 43" plasma with the seperate media box (This was to limit the number of cables running to the display on the wall). I now have the proposition of a PS3 joining the Sky HD box to be connected but I am limited to a single HDMI input. Could those with the knowledge please advise the best way round this
The obvious option is to buy a HDMI switch-box of which there are many on the market, some will switch automatically when they detect an input.
If you wanted an even better solution & are prepared to lash out, you could get a Video processor such as a Lumagen, which as well as giving you several additional DVI/HDMI inputs will also do a superb job of deinterlacing and scaling.

I have a Display with 1 DVI input only (HDCP compatible). And the digital audio inputs on the AV2 (specially the opticals from the "cheap" consumer boxes) are not enough too... So this thing could switch both in one go.
Do you have this switchbox? Does it switch automatically to the active input (when there is only 1 active device)? It comes at a price, but it has the full bandwith of HDMI 1.3.

many thanks MRJ
same as tony , but watch out for sky hd which is reportedly "hot" even when off . which could play havoc with an auto switcher
