has anyone got or tried the new updated firmware yet for the n-vi, and if so does it make any differance to the problems with the optical input, ?

munch, I will look in to it tommorow.

JohnR1, another forum member has installed it and suggests that it has cured his optical problem.

Our shop n-Vi used to occasionally lock up or not want to come out of standby. Applying the latest code last week seems to have made it glitch-free.

frank, my n-vi has differant problems to yours, mine all seem connected to the optical input from my telewest tv-drive, similar to the problems with the optical feed from sky-hd, so not sure if it will help, am waiting to hear from my dealer, who said he would try out the update first

munch, you told me you had no issues right now and would only use the disc if anything happened so I have noT posted yet, waiting for my disc copy!! I am only the boss you know!
will send soon, if this is a problem call me as before

munch don't upset the boss, i am also waiting for a fix for the dvd-audio glitch as well as the optical input bug
