Yes, my n-Vi of all you that have one.

With all the negatives I thought I'd share a positive experience.

My system pioneer dvd656,kenwood kr-v9090,Castle Inversion 80 fronts, boston 100c centre and canon mushroom looking things as surrounds, rel q-50 sub. Yes pretty mixed up!

It's been a year and a bit since I discovered Naim and I'm still not on the ladder yet but I have found out that the Naim thing is for me so I won't be sorry when I get it.

I set my budget which was cd5x + nait5i. I then bought some live music dvd's and really enjoyed them and thought why should I not get as much musical enjoyment as possible from them. Bring on the n-Vi, music, movies and surround.

I heard it at the Hammersmith show last week. Not the ideal place but, WOW! I loved it for music, it was just so clear and live sounding plus it does all the movie surround stuff.Imagine what it will be like at home.

Loud? We might all think 50 watts aint enough but it filled a very good size room with people in it. I mean 50 watts bothered me even with the nait5i but not no more. Just for comparison in another room they had an arcam/pmc set up using TWO p7's biamped= 14 x 160watts rms. Although the room was 2.5 times bigger the amplification should compensate, with the volume at max it did not sound as loud as the n-vi although I must say it did stay in control and did not fluster, but more importantly they were playing the CREAM music dvd and I just know the n-vi would have made more music from it.

Basically I was going to spend my money on 2 channel, but for a bit more I get everything. As I become more of an audiophille I can upgrade.

If I do go for one I will miss the cd5x swing out draw which gives it character and all that "pucking", but then again it's just as nice to have it done for you.

Zorba.

Go for it. Its a superb piece of kit. Used every night whether its the DAB radio, watching a Movie or listening to CD's. Enjoy it.

Cheers
