I was just going through the suggested systems on the Naim site and I noticed that one suggested upgrade is a NAPV145 for each speaker. Now in a 5.1 systems that would be 2 front speakers, 2 back speakers, a center speaker and a sub-woofer. So does that really mean they are suggesting 5 NAP V145’s, with the sub-woofer internally powered? The six-pack is almost reborn without all the power supplies and the active crossover? And if I added an AV2 to my stereo system, I would use the 102 and 135’s to power the rear speakers and then need to add 3 V145’s for the front and center speakers?

The NAP175 has 3 channels.

Maybe the idea of the 145 is to power a centre channel and have two "stereo" amps for the front and back?

The NAP175 has 3 channels but the 145s will perform much better.

The six-pack reference is certainly descriptive here but it sure is a different type of six-pack from the active crossover support of the 3-driver speakers.

If you add an AV2 to your system then I'm sure you'll want to consider whether or not the 102 is needed. The AV2 can send the rear signals to the amps so you don't need the 102 for the rear speakers. You can just use the AV2 as your preamp for both 2channel and >2channel. It could be worth having a preamp for your front 2 channels if you have source/preamp/amps/speakers that provide better than what the AV2 can offer. Then you might choose to run the >2 channel output from the AV2 with the front 2 channels routed through the other preamp to get to the front 2 channels. When just listening to stereo you would go through the better preamp (e.g. 282, 252, etc.), and not the AV2.
Hope this makes sense to you. Enjoy!

The 102 drives the left and right front's the 175 would do the centre and rears. Me 250, 140 (1 Ch for centre), 140 rears.

Tried it, a 102 is much better than an AV2 for stereo.

It would send the 102 back to Naim for the unity gain mod and then enjoy the AV2 with either a 175 or 145 + stereo amp for the rears.
