the lip sync will be as you have now, no change.

I mailed your dealer, explaining. He should arrive with both versions...so take your pick (if the unit is going to allow the update to be perfomed) Please bear in mind that external SPDIF sources (I won't name any of them here...) can also suffer from their own lip-sync issues, with makes it hard to deduce where the delay lies. Like Paul suggests, the delay will either be the same as you already are experiencing with your current unit, if you dealer applies 02-14 / 0.189.5.3 or better, with possible longer SPDIF lock-on, with 02-13 / 0.189.5.6 see post 2 here:- http://forums.naim-audio.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/3452929996/m/1782932217Av

dealer turned up this morning, managed to get disc draw open after a while, no luck with the upgrade, so has left me the demo one for the time being, presume mine will be shipped back to naim after the christmas break.

My guess is that Naim will keep yours and send you back a brand new one. This way they will aquire a machine that will reveal a gold-mine of information for future R&D and a test-bed for future software updates......... Either way, I hope it works out for you this time. Cheers Don
