As you may know I'm buying a house in Scotland. A nice house in a nice town. In preparation for this I am having to buy a car and various other thingies including insurance and tax etc. To sort out quotes I'm using the internet sites and these use a clever bit of software that takes my postcode and house name and auto fills the address. Only problem is that whoever built the database mispelt the name of my house (which has no number). It is the same on all sites so I imagine that the data is gleaned from a common source.

So my question is this. Who is responsible and who do I tackle to get it corrected.

(Answers on a postcard.... Wink )

Tom:

I hope you're bringing your father-in-law. He sounds like a fun guy.

The data originates for an agency in Southampton.

If you pm the correct and incorrect details, I will get it sorted.

I have a similar problem - our house used to be a pair of flats (years ago) and all the databases have either Flat A or Flat B, and no entries for just the house.

Can you point me in the right direction?

Cheers

Mick, you're a star even if you've got the worst sounding sistem in the UK. You have a PM (no not Tony B)
