I have been in discussion with several Forum members and meaning to start this off for a while now. There are quite a few people posting from the North West area so the plan is to hopefully get as many together as possible for an inaugural meeting.
There are no firm details as to the time and place - this can be decided once numbers are finalised. There is talk of a Naim/Zu weekend at Audio Counsel so perhaps it can be tied in with that.
So............anyone interested? If you are then post here, and feel free to email me if you wish (address in profile). All ideas and suggestions gratefully received!

Cheers

Mark

Naim t-shirt and baseball cap surely?

Although I still tend toward the view that they should throw at least one of the above in free on purchase of a Hi-Line etc!!! Alternately Naim should throw them in for free once we form team North West. Are we not the equivalent of those 'street teams' that now get used to push up and coming acts.

I think I can see what might be coming in response to that! Big Grin

Mike

PS: If we have a dress code then I'm stuffed.

Thanks Julian,

I have already met a few of the potential "crew", and it has always been a pleasure!

Osmonds and Barry Manilow??? Hmm!!!

Had a look through the small amount of remaining vinyl and I can only provide Mud, Showaddywaddy or The Wombles. Slade on CD.

Sad as it sounds, I would defend Keep On Wombling to my death. Hopefully I won't have to... will I???

The playlist is already looking pretty impressive!
James - you have stumped me! I was going to bring along my wife's copy of The Osmonds Greatest Hit ( Big Grin) as a nice little surprise.

Mike - there's no competition. The Wombles EVERY time.

I am delighted to read of this. I think it is such a good thing in our (frankly peculiar Winker) hobby. For me it has been a real joy to meet up with many of the East Anglian crowd and also the South Eastern crowd. It's lovely to meet up with the faces behind the 'electronic names' and share - primarily - the love of music. I wish you all the very best for the North West.

James

In East Anglia - where you know it makes sense.
