Sounds like a switching or mixing error to me.
The words 'very good' were probably a piece of unrelated audio that were transmitted in error.

Would tend to agree with 555, people working at the BBC must know how sensitive recording mikes are. Much more likely to be a cock-up, there's a lot of work to do in a very short space of time when you're broadcasting live, and they're bound to happen. News 24 quite often end up playing one video whilst the newsreader is still talking about something else.
