Well, I must say, I'm surprised nobody challenged. As AlexanderVH says, it's very unusual to get to MC without Parsons Green when using Mortimer's second, and arguably verging on off-side, particularly when played along the second lateral like that. Still, there we go!
So, the Branch Line it is. Don't be put off ROTF and others, the basic rules remain the same (though passes are wild and the fourth and fifth diagonals are reversed when in and out of nip), however the main distinction is the expanded playing area and, of course, the augmented scoring system which essentially weights points in favour of obscurity of move.
With that in mind I'll venture St Martin's Lane.

Theydon Bois - now that really is sneaky, opening up the reversed parallel like that and what with Kew Gardens as well, I don't know about anyone else but I feel trapped. Only one thing for it:
Birdcage Walk.

Tooting Bec should be an appropriate followup to that. And there's no devious ploy behind that, honnist.

Right. I'm a bit excited about this as I've been thinking this move over all weekend and can see no reason why I shouldn't play it. That being the case, I think it will give me a clear advantage in this game:
Croxley - mwa ha ha ha ha!

Ha indeed! it may be too early to lord it over the rest of us just yet, though clearly, we all see your way 'in'. Blackfriars, which as far as I know, is still consistent with Mortimer's Second.

Blast! How did you see through my plan so quickly? I'd been thinking it over all weekend as well! Have you been trained in the Peyton Stratagem?

No, I've gleaned it all from Rigby & Peller (2nd ed., 1987) Beyond method: Towards a New Paradigm in Social Transportation. Kind of you to mention Peyton all the same. I shall pass on you regards next time I see him at Jo Jo's. Queensway.
