Daryl Gibson returns to the Tigers starting line up for this Sunday's Heineken Cup Final against London Wasps at Twickenham (kick-off 2.30pm). The former All Black centre replaces Ollie Smith, who drops to the replacements bench. Frank Murphy partners Andy Goode at half-back, with Dan Hipkiss joining Gibson in midfield and Geordan Murphy, Seru Rabeni and Alesana Tuilagi forming an exciting back three. In the pack, Shane Jennings starts at openside flanker in his last game for the club, with Lewis Moody and Martin Corry named alongside him in the back row. Ben Kay and Louis Deacon form an all-England second row pairing, with international colleagues Julian White and George Chuter joining Argentinean prop Marcos Ayerza in the front row. Ian Humphreys replaces the ineligible Ben Youngs on the bench, with Sam Vesty included with Smith, Brett Deacon, Leo Cullen, Alex Moreno and James Buckland for the club's third Twickenham final of the season. Having seen the Tigers' team sheet, I think Wasps if they have any sense better bend over and kiss their backsides goodbye, becuase they are not going to see the light of day on Sunday.

You know, I suspect I'm going to be busy with the cut & paste buttons on Sunday night to make you all feel a little bit silly for bigging up the Steradent mob ahead of the game...

Think about it James, they are playing their last game for Pat Howard, and what ever you think of aussies they play sport to win. The taking of all three cups is as good as it gets here. If they were an average calibre team, I would not have bothered as a GLAWS supporter to go back to twickenham eight days after our humiliation. I want to see this match because it will be special as a rugger supporter. Brian Moore |

All ready for tomorrow then boys?
You've clearly nailed your colours to the mast, FF! And to think I was supporting the Cherry and Whites last week! So it's me and JW against the world! Meanwhile, PB's entertaining an attractive blonde (hopefully in a sports bar PB!) and is going to miss all the action - well the rugby action at any rate! I guess we'll just have to fill you in on here as to how Wasps smashed Tigers off the park to regain the Heineken Cup when we get back tomorrow evening! Mark |

Must have been quite an eyefull. Looking forward to meeting up with you tractor boys (and Mark, despite what I have written). Lets hope for a great game, and perhaps there will be two scottish managers with long faces by the end of the week end. Brain Moore |

Just setting off. I'm parking up at a friend's at Isleworth, so will be walking in from the north. I'll give you a ring when I've arrived.
Roger you can't miss me - Tight Head of the 'old school', who hasn't had any significant exercise (except right arm) for a few years. Cherry trousers (in your honour!) and Green shirt with Red and White stripes! GGRRRRRRRR!!! James |

Well I will be the first to say well done Wasps, you deserved that one.
A game to far for the Tigers perhaps, they looked jaded today, but no excuses Wasps deserved the win, Regards PB |

Thank you for your gracious words PB. I hope your date went well - good choice not to watch the rugby!
Wasps were awesome. Their intensity was just fantastic and they were clearly up for the game. Leicester looked a bit tired, but Wasps just did not let them play. We just doubled up in the tackle and Tigers just could not find a way through. I think in the end they gave up. The seats we had really were up in the gods - the very highest row with only the back of the stand behind us, but what a view! Thanks to JWM and Jamie Wednesday for the great company and really nice to meet flyfisher in the bar afterwards. Great rugby and nice people - what could be better?!! Looks like we might just start up a forum Rugby Club for next season and travel to one or two games. Also it was great to meet and enjoy the craic with the Munster fans on the tube back home. There were probably as many of them there as there were Wasp fans and they really know their rugby. We had thought that they had been unable to sell their tickets on after their team had failed to get to the final, but apparently they go every year, regardless of who is playing. Fair play lads, you are real rugby supporters. They said they will all be in Edinburgh for next year's final. Commiserations to Leicester. They have played well all season, especially in the last few weeks, but today was a step too far as PB said and you can't be greedy and win everything. Today you just came up against a team who wanted it more and were more disciplined and fearsome in the tackle. Wasps Heineken Cup Winners 2007 Mark |

I can't argue with you Mark. I think your final statement says it all. Leicester were ill disciplined and seemed to lack a game plan. Dare I say it but we lost it in the scrum half position. We also seemed half a second of the pace which is not like Leicester.
As I said earlier I am not going to make excuses just aplaud the better team on the day. As for me I had a wonderfull afternoon thank you Regards PB |
