I have (3 times) tried to order a LARGE selection from their £5 each for 2 DVD sale and get up to around £100 and then it starts forgetting what I've ordered (along with me).

Am I missing something here - I just want to order a load of films and music and have had to give up because they don't seem to cope with my way of buying.

Any other recommendations - I am in France and FNAC and Groove seem to promise discs ... and then can't deliver. OK one was James Black & the Whites but the other was Electric Cafe - hardly obscure.

Certainly Play wont let me order in sterling from Ireland, I have to click the Euro symbol only to find an exchange rate applied from the days when Tony Blair was PM.

Consequently I've stopped dealing with them.

I find myself giving Amazon a lot more business, postage isn't free to Ireland but is reasonable.

Adam,
Try splitting your order into three smaller ones.
When ever i have done a large order around a £100 for cds/dvds, They ring me to check its me that has placed the order.
I think it might be a security thing because you are in France.

I presume it must be the size of the order, I tend to order cd's from play.com and rarely spend more than £20 at a time. The cds always come separately and i've always found the service excellent.

I agree, order in smaller batches.

Yes - listening to music IS the last resort of a bored mind.

Fair (ish) comment - I was raiding the DVDs AND then going to move onto the CDs.

I have recently bought a projector and that, with all the Naim AV bits, is a pleasant adjunct to my normal listening pleasures.

Reading is taking a bit of a beating.

Off to work now.

i cant understand this as i order dvds and cds at the same time without a hitch. could be the value of the order but i wouldnt have thought so.
i do know that the website has undergone a major revamp recently and searching through the site is not as fluid as it was before the revamp.
its a shame as there are lots of good bargains to be had post free!
they are going to lose trade at this rate.

I find that HMV are cheaper these days and tend to have the same sort of offers.
They might take a few days more to turn up though.
The also do vinyl.

If you are in France then it will be 2 for €14.99

Just place smaller orders and it will work fine.

My credit card address is here is Switzerland and they happily deliver to my house in France.

I just looked at my order history and it is 358 items and counting.
