I am absolutely gutted over Setanta going bust. Next season I was looking forward to 46 Prem. League games for just £ 8.50 p/m, astounding vfm if the Prem. is all you are bothered about. Now need to go to SKY (which I have no intention of doing) for any Prem. League next season as ESPN will be a SKY add-on and not freestanding.
You dont need to go to SKY. lots of other options out there. You just need a 80cm dish on the Hot Bird sat. And buy a sports card . You get all the Prem Saturday games. Stu

Never been too shure about Satanta . Very disapointed when they got the PGA golf , I wasn't prepared to pay £10 a month . Interestingly , up here in Scotland I understand that Sky offered the same money to the SPL as Satanta but Satanta offered higher repayments over the first couple of years . All turning a bit sour now . More importantly , the Blue Square Premiership sides are set to loose about £80,000 each if Satanta go under . Not good for a York City fan like myself !

I had quite a bit of bother with Setanta a few months back. To cut a long story short I was overcharged, messed about and ultimately issued with a demand to pay moneys I owed them! Though I feel sorry for anyone who may lose their job as a result, I must admit to being more than a little pleased at their demise. Regards, Steve.

so, you can only buy so many sports packages to stop one company (sky) dominating sports broadcasting.
Yet the ones that have, itv anyone? Have all gone bust, their efforts so poor it wasn't even funny and both have left football in real trouble.
How can spreading the games across different broadcasters help the fan? all it means is more subscriptions and more to payout, its a mess and it's not helping anyone!
