More or less, so I don't really have a ballpark figure. I was at a wedding recently were they served either brandy or cognac after the meal and I rather enjoyed it.

My budget was based largely on that gets a decent single malt (which I know much better). Perhaps I'm better off exploring brandy rather then cognac at that price?

Thanks for the link.

regards, Tam

Two pints of Stella's finest chemical brew yesterday at Devil's Dyke after a baking hot 4 hour walk in the surounding countryside - despite being Stella, it was cold and most welcome!

Now I'm sat at a table avoiding work (which I must do!) and supping a glass of pure orange juice with sparkling water - very refreshing!

Hi Tam

If the after dinner drink might have been Brandy that's a good place to start.
However if it was a fine Cognac you will be disappointed!
How smooth was that drink?

I wouldn't pay too much heed to the prices on BBR.
It's a good place for information.

To give you an idea of what Cognac you can get for your money The Wine Society Brandy, Marc & Armagnac list is much more realistically priced.

I wish it was Malvern water, as I drive past the bottling plant in the village that I live in everyday.

Just regular water cooler stuff at work.

You used to be able to fill up your own bottles at the spring.
Can you not do that there any more ?
