A slight aside - someone mentioned earlier in the thread about digitally enhancing slides.

I've got several boxes of 35mm slides which I'd love to have on computer. I tried to scan them myself but it was very laborious and the results weren't very good either.

Can someone recommend how this can best be done please? I'll happily send them off & pay for them to be done professionally.

If I could manage to get my ass in gear I would be able to offer to do this for you - I have a Nikon Coolscan 5000ED with slide feeder attachment which allegedly takes up to 50 slides at a time. It's a dedicated film scanner with 4000dpi resolution which I presume is as good as you could ever want - short of having each slide image over 100mb file size!

I'll try to give it a go this weekend - but I've been threatening to do this for ages!

Team Listening!

From left, the feet of: Munch Julian, and GFFJ

Julian's camera! Notice my tiny little Royd Minstrels compared to Munch's SBLs! The results certainly were not puny though!

That's very kind of you Peter! I'd be very interested to know how you get on with this device. Might make sense for me to get one myself.
