I appreciate the quality of the photo is not so good, partly due to the DIY transfer I made from the print and the fact it was a long time ago now.

However, I don't care as I was there. Cool Camera held aloft over the teeming hordes, tired as I hadn't slept for 36 hours, but extatic at watching one of the closest and exciting races ever, and Jaguar won. Getting everything in shot was a bonus - even a flag! Big Grin I will never forget the day.....

Yan Lammers and Johnny Dumfries winning the 1988 24 Heures Du Mans

Kind regards,

Peter

Some great shots here, Hugwe's are incredibly pin sharp; Bruce has captured the subtle tones across the mountains; and Peter has captured the moment in the Le Mans shot. That's the great thing about photos, various factors can combine in different ways to produce a cracking shot.

Peter

PS Peter, if you still have the negative and if it's 35mm I could scan it at high res for you - the results can be surprisingly good!

I like this one as it goes some way to giving the impression of just how big these things are.

Great thread thanks George, & brilliant quality photography.

I can't get close to the standard here (both views & talent),
but here's my effort which I hope doesn't lower the tone too much Red Face

Around home I've been enjoying this lovely bloom of Snow Drops,
in circles around some trees ...

Cheers - John

Dave, your York Minster shot is excellent. Perfect composition.

I've looked at your galleries and you have a very good eye for photography.
