I am flying out to Phoenix on Friday to stay in the Scottsdale area for about 10 days. My wife is on a course and I have the task of keeping myself entertained.

Are there any Naimees in the Phoenix area that might fancy a beer and a chat while I am over? If so, let me know and I will put my email address in my profile so we can get in contact.

All the best

Rob

If you cannot spend all your time listening to music, get to the Desert Botanical Garden, the Boyce Thompson Arboretum near Globe, the Apache Trail - great drive 21 miles on dirt road thru some desert hills.

In town look out for the Phoenix Art Gallery and the Heard Museum.

Great galleries in Scottsdale to wander thru.

You could also do a quick dash to Jerome, Wickenburg and if you are really keen take a blink at the Grand Canyon.

View from our balcony at the Fairmont Scottsdale. The course in the background is the TPC Stadium Course, 5th hole I believe.

The scenery was fantastic, the golf courses wonderful and the average daily temp 40 degrees. We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly and intend going back again next year.

Willy, I feel your pain! Having arrived back at Stanstead yesterday morning to be met with our British summer again Roll Eyes

Anyway I was going to post this on the listening chair thread, but this now seems a more appropriate place however.... Only 35 degrees and not for golfers Rob. This is my kind of view Smile I hope to return one day! Tuscany.... I suggest everyone tries it:
