Did you not get a DVI to VGA adapter with the card so you can use the VGA input on your monitor?

Dean ,I have it sorted now some one on PF suggested this in display properties, you will see a picture of 2 monitors 1 & 2 (2 is usually greyed out) you can hit the identify button to make sure what screen you are seeing you can use the drop down menu or just click on the picture of monitor 1 or 2, select 2. you will probably have to select 'extend my desktop onto this monitor' (tick box) before the 'Use this device as primary monitor' is 'enabled' - select that. after apply/ok you can hit your input selection button on your samsung to see if DVI will pick anything up

Ah! I see you use Windows so that bold text went over my head, but I'm glad its sorted Blue. Dean..
