Yes - I went to see this Friday night and thoroughly enjoyed it! Think they'll make more in this series? I think there are about 20 of these books in the wings.

Well it can't be any worse than Matrix Revolutions, which was just dire. Any film critic recommending that film must surely be in the pay of Warners, or a very sad and deluded fanboy. I will check out Master and Commander, but I'm not sure I'm up for 19 sequels!

M&C is based on two of the 20 books. I've no idea if a sequel is planned, but it seems likely given the success so far of the first movie. My fear is that, in typical Hollywood style, they'll f*** up the sequels completely.
