This will only mean something to the cyclists; but holy cow! What is a guy like Tom Boonen doing? Seems to me he already has a pretty sweet set-up. Successful career doing what he loves to do, SuperModelGirlFriends, Lamborghini in the garage of the posh pad. Why the need to mess around with cocaine?

Who do you like for the tour?

I guess the supermodel-girlfriend-Lamborghini-posh-pad doesn't always add up to enough. It's amazingly stupid of these guys to think they won't be getting tested for this sort of thing. Ullrich was busted in a nearly identical manner.

I was too busy this spring to watch the Giro, but just looked up the results. Contador didn't win a single stage. Interesting.

Wonder if he's focused on the Tour and won the Giro giving his second best?

I thought it was compulsory as a pro cyclist to use some form of illegal drug/enhancement agent.

Lamborghinis & super model trophy girlfriends. Adding Coke to the list isn't any great suprise to me.
Matt.

Yep I agree. Unfortunately it does seems no surprise based on past celebrity malfunctions. Do those that seem to have it all, fall more often and further, or it it just that we hear about it more?

No, that's snowboarding where you fail the drug test if you DON'T have enough recreational drugs in your system.

Denis Menchov has to be in with a shout this year if he can do L'Alpe d'Huez.

Yeah, I like Denis, too. He had a pretty good ride last year considering that he spent a fair bit of energy riding for a Mr Rasmussen. I've always liked Valverde. Still perhaps a question over his "ticker" when the $h!+ hits the fan late in a major tour. I think I might have to put my money on Evans, though.

Agreed, Winky I would love to see Valverde do it. Probably over the last four years he has proven that he has the ability in each of the required disciplines of a major tour rider. Perhaps he is now comming to an age where he can put them all together. Oh, and have team mates who are willing to blow themselves to pieces for him over three weeks, the often forgotten magic ingidient for most tour winners Winker
