Hi,
we have IPTV set top box and we use some ordinary HDMI cable for connection to our Panasonic plasma. I can say that I like the difference between standard and HD picture, so I thought I can experiment with a better quality HDMI cable just to see if it worth. I'd like to hear your expereince on this if any and if you can reccomend something, thanks. Oz |

The Gadget Show recently did a test on HDMI cables, from about £20 upto £80 (maybe even more). Their conclusion? Buy one for £20.... there was no difference at all on their BIG screens with HD signal.

I have used a few over the last three years.
I now use one that costs around £80 for HD. Only because i got it for £50. I had a good chat on the phone one day with Adam, when i got my n/VI in 2006 about HDMI leads, and he told me the make of lead Naim use to test with. I used one just to see what it would be like as Naim do with the addaptor for the n/vi. The lead cost me around £15 and it was very good. I then went for a lead without the addaptor, it was better but not that much. If you can get your dealer to loan you a few over a few days so you can make your mind up. I think that would be the way to go. Munch |
