Received this link of a page showing the first Philips cd player, a prototype called Pinkeltje.
Really like those first cd's which still look like vinyl with the text on the innerside of the cd. |

I had one of the first Phillips production models which I got for free as the guy couldn't wait for me to fix it so went and bought another.

I have owned this player from new and it still works very well. Doesn't sound bad either, plus...it has an optical out!

I beleve that their first players only resolved to 14 bits.
