Hello,
I have an EAR 834P phono amp and will be getting an EAR 834L line amp. I read a post on another forum re success using an old Exposure power amp, can I use the EARs with a NAP 150x or NAP 200 without blowing the NAP up? What about older Naim power amps? Thank you, OW |

Naim amps need a substancial level of signal at their input stage to work good, there's usualy no problem to use a Naim amp with any good quality solid state or tube preamp, but I would not recommend passive types (resistive, step up xfo, etc...).
You'll need of course an adapted interconnect to fit your preamp to the Naim amp, as it don't use phono/cinch jacks. And you won't blow anything up if you read and understand the owner manual of the amplifier you desire, and apply the few recommendations in there. Bye. |
