If you leave the amp on all the time, this should not be a problem.

Does that mean that you switch it off? Naim kit is designed to be left switched on all the time (apart from thunderstorms).

Don't sell your amp, it's great! You could get a record player instead of your CD. That will teach them!  willem

Alternatively, you could plug your CD into the Aux input.
