Hi, "How to open up a NAC202?" First answer : Don't, check with seller or dealer and do not void any guarantee. Second answer : with a screwdriver Philippe

Hmmm, ur wrong. The skrews are Unbraco-type. AND I found the loose skrew, a Black 7mm with Phillip-head. Cant find a place for it. The amp plays as it should. Im glad. End of story - hopefully.

Funny... I received my flatcap 2x by mail yesterday and suspected a loose screw too due to ratteling when tilting. Gave it serious thought then decided to just play the God damned thing and it just sounds lovely. Hehehehe

"The hidden loose screw" sounds like a nice marketing idea : "How to upgrade your system by putting a loose screw inside". "Should I put a normal loose screw in my preamp or is a Unbraco screw better ?" "Can one hear the sonic differences between different types of loose screws on a double blind test ?" Sorry, had a difficult day Philippe

The blacks screw to whit you speak belongs in the roof of the case. If you look on the bottom of the 202 there is a hole in the centre at the front, you are supposed to put a phillips screw driver in here to loosen that screw, the screw which has become very detached.

Hi Toriamus,
Congratulations on removing the screw. A loose screw can cause a short circuit. A missing screw leads to other complications, but probably not as bad as a short circuit.

The roof of the case? - You mean inside the case? Do not find any holes to the outside of the case. Will look into it, thank you.
