Bukakabo-

In addition to the other comments about your system set up, I would add a few more tips for getting the best from your B & W 804's, which I have owned for years.

1- They should be used with the spikes B & W includes with the packing at a minumum, and I much prefer the sound with the aftermarket stands made for the B & W's by Soundanchor, which is an American firm you can find on the web if you are interested. If you are concerned about damaging your hardwood floors, buy a good floor protector for use under spikes. In my experience, no good speaker should ever be used without spikes or a stand.

2-Once in a while, take your grills off and tighten the twin bass drivers on the speaker baffle. I believe this is a 4 MM allen key. In a Naim system, where the precision of the start and stop of the notes is very much more enhanced than in many amps, it will pay you back very readily if they are loose.

3- Finally, the B & W's will sound fine without too much work, but will reward careful attention to set up, so don't ignore the fact that speaker placement is a profound variable, perhaps the most effective of all set up tweaks.

Good Luck,

Bruce

Clearly they are now giving them away as nobody bought them. Part-i-pak indeed.

Maybe a mod will know how this alu plates be delivered. I seen it only on the "hifi choice" review of the 112x/150x

Kuma, they are RS2, not RS1. Sound superb with these pads though. Smile

That's a lovely system, your friend has, Yuri. Smile

The DIY Isoblue stand looks great!
I assume the speakers are only placed right next to both sides of the rack becasue of the picture ?

regards,
Alco

I'm posting these on behalf of Roger Poll, whose system it is. A very fine sounding system, I'll bet it sounds even better now! Winker

Great shots!

Have him sent over the shots via mybriks.com! Cool

I am happy to add the shots to the site if he doesn't mind.
