2. I assume a custom-made light-oak version (being not standard) will be even more absurdly priced than the already 2100,- costing euro! (price just raised, 2 months ago)

Alco,

I think that none standard's colour order it's 10% more.

One good thing about ordering standard colours is that you most probably won't be facing problems when ordering extra shelves later on
At least with black the colour should not change!

Regards,
Edouard

Hi Edouard,

I must confess 10% is a friendly, fair extra price over the standard versions.
I've only seen the cherry/silver Fraim at my dealer, and although I love the looks of the Fraim, (for the money) I didn't really liked the cherry veneer colour.
(same goes with a cherry Naim Credo once. Good quailty, but 'wrong' cherry 'tan'.

I mean: If the cherry would really look like this, I'd love it:

(light,brownish,almost light-oakish Cool,
instead of the dark, red-ish)

yes, that's the way cherry should look. My cherry-back-and-sides guitar looks just so, and it's a stunner.

This was a problem for me as I ordered it blind, but it was such a good surprise when I got it Smile
I think anyway that the Fraim is a piece of furniture and has to match the room to look good, therefore it would be nice to have a wider choice of colours...

Edouard

I agree, It would be good if there were one or two more finishes like oak for example, available and I agree with your point that pictures don't seem to do them justice.

Alco, as Andy says......just ask nicely, you never know! I've supplied mahogany, black in the past Cool

Regards,

Peter

I know. I'm actually kind of tired of the wenge look, but I think it'd make the Fraim look damned nice, and then those black boxes ontop of the wenge...looovely

Bloody hell, Yoda.

I had this vision of you having not only a super-dooper system but on something at least as expensive as Fraim!

Instead your racks are....about as expensive as mine..!

As I said JonR, this is my friends system. It's so incongruous I just couldn't help but post it!

Seriously though, that 42.5 works brilliantly in his system, you wouldn't believe how good it sounds.

Wenge

And more veneers than youcould ever know what to do with here .

Mind you, if we're voting for potential new Fraim colours, put my name down for oak please.

I've some Wenge at home, it's a very dark brown like dark burnt coffee grain.

Thanks, for the picture Steve, but the Wenge I'm thinking of looks quite a bit different. It's has deep coffee coloring and an interesting, deep grain. If you find a Molteni or B&B Italia catalogue there's bound to be some in there.
