Peter,

I just meant you move out the pile of electronics and TV somewhere else (aside, to another room) and leave the space between the speakers vacant. Should be a treat for your ears, I guess.

cheers,

Nah, we do the serious listening downstairs. This system is to give people an idea of what we can do when they walk through the front door. Big Grin Plus the TV is so big, there is nowhere else it could live in the shop other than in the main area. Frown

Regards,

Peter

Peter, I did not know that the shop interlaps with your living space. I was thinking it's only your home.

cheers,

I place this light blue felt mat on top of the regular black felt mat from Linn / Peter of Cymbiosis. The light blue is prettier and reminds me that it is on the platter.. It is only about 1mm thick. Actually, I use the blue mat on top of the black mat when playing LP's from the 50's & 60's which are often thinner than the 180gm jobbies they make for audiophiles today. I set the deck up using 180gm Lp's and add the blue felt when playing thinner Lp's. It is essentially there to allow the VTA to remain approximately the same.

Cheers !

Joe

Joe,

Believe it or not I have a 10ft high fig tree in the shop next to my desk Eek

It lost quite a few leaves through the winter, but is now throwing some new shoots Cool

I like plants......... I'd have a fish tank too if I could find the space...... very relaxing - nice.

Kind regards,

peter

Use of plants can help the accoustic properties of a room

see Plants in Buildings

We have a quite a jungle of plants in the room with a pair of Yuccas in the corners - initially for aesthetic reasons but the odd visitor has favourably commented on the room balance.

I´m just listening the tuner,I need a IC to the cd player
The amplifier is very musical, does Prat like Naim, has a good pace and rythm
It has 60 Watts,so more powerfull than the Nait 5 and the sound is very clean.
I will need to test the amplifier with my CD 5,to find better results

Nuno,

Didn't you know before that Densens have RCA only and CD5 DIN only? I am surprised that you did not buy a cable while you were waiting for so long...

cheers,

Hello Nuno,

didn´t you test the CD5 with the Densen at the dealer?
Why did you sell the Nait5?

I didn´t have the chance to test, but I know people that owns Densen amplifiers and they say it works very well with Densen!
Why did I sell the Nait?Well, the Nait was a good amplifier, but after heard the Densen I knew that was the kind of sound that I liked. But I still prefer Naim´s sources, because Naim sources offer a thrilling sound

You know, the Nait5 is far from being a reference it only gives a small taste of whats to come.

I´ve had some serious Naim kit at home and listened at my dealer and i know what i´m missing, i just can´t afford it now, but no way am i going to buy something along the lines of an immediate fix (affordable).

I´m listening to music right now through an Accuphase integrated amp and it sounds glourious, etc., etc.. If i could afford two systems this would be on one of them, but i´m saving up for the big league.

It´s ok if you prefer Naim cd´s to their amplification, but have you heard them?
Personnaly i believe you have one of the best cd´s i ever heard for the money, it´s miles ahead of my cd5i.

Congratulations on your purchase and the best to you.
