I have recently moved place and the living room is double the old one (Now abt 30*15 ft, 9ft in height). Feeling my speakers now a bit out of place/space so want a floorstander.
My current setup: Supernait/HiCap CDX2/Hi-line ProAc Response 1SC/NACA5
I've been looking for new/2nd hand option and I have boiled down to 3 choices: 1. ProAc Response D28, this would be the most costly option (brand new) 2. 2nd Hand Response 2.5 (yes is an old but nice pair in Rosewood) and cost least incl. trade in 3. SBL (circa 95, with later spec bass driver), black ash
What would you guys think? My gut feeling is to go for the SBL but it's not too possible for a demo... Any idea?

Actually I managed to source a 2nd hand pair and the guy ( a nice chap and a Naim collector!) offering his black ash pair for a round 1200 quid eqv.... tempting...

bit steep IMHO - I'd have expected well less than £1k - now if they were Cherry .....
yeah...a bit steep but sometimes conditions is everything,...HK is a very hot and humid place and not very forgiving in climatic conditions,,, however, still steep so i didn't buy that off by impulse...yet
