I have recently bought a cd5 and a nac 112 (all in second hand).
The problem is that i have a cable na34 between 112 and cd5, and i think, i need a na 46. Do anybody knows if it is a problem? Will sound be better with the na46? Thanks. |

Welcome kaneda59
The NA numbers on Naim cables refers to who made it at the factory, not a cable type. You need a grey interconnect to go between your CD5 and 112. Given the age of a CD5 it should have come with the later "lavender" grey interconnect. They are still grey in colour but with a slight "tinge" of lavender colour. You will probably only be able to tell the difference between old and new when you have them side by side. For further advice have a look here on the main Naim website for users manuals and connections guides. They will also show the way of connecting your 112 to your poweramp. Cheers, Julian |

quote: I've recently changed an old Lavender to the newer grey cable. ( it has a shinier outer jacket than a post-Lavender lead ) The latter seems to have a better frequency extension than the one I was using. |
