Does a HC2 need to be service overtime, if so how often? I found one that is 4 years old. Wonder if that is too and should get a new one. I'll be saving about 40% if i go with the s/h.

Thanks

they need a service every ten years so plenty of time to go,but i think in this climate you would get a much newer one for £600.

Around 10 years is the norm for a sevice.
Try and get a xdem or second hand one from a good dealer.
Check the S number, That will tell you how old it is.

The unit has one owner and the serial number state that it is 4 years old. New in the USA is $2150 USD, I can get it for $1200 USD. Should i go for it. Naim S/H boxes are not easily to come by where i'm located.

I'd go for it. you can try for less but it's about half off. what more do you want? I bought 2 s/h hicaps that were matched and need to get then serviced. But that's pretty good.

I sold a classic modern chair recently for cheap. the first guy wanted it for half of my price. I just said no. Next guy offered full price and he got it. the first guy answered back and then wanted it for full price, I told him it was sold. The guy that bought it was really fun to talk to for 2 hours, art, paint color, music, he liked my system and wants to come back for a vinyl session..... LOL He even said he has records he doesn't listen to so I'll get them... I feel like I made a friend.

Thank you everyone, I might just get it. Just curious, how much would it be to service a hc2 and something like a supernait.

Thanks

You will need to contact your local distributor to discuss the service costs for the HiCap.
There are no figures for servicing a SuperNait - as we has never, yet, done this.
