A recurrent theme on the Naim forum is to remember that Hi-Fi is just a means to an end - great music. I know that part of the forum is dedicated to music, but I wanted to start a musical thread here as an antidote to excessive Hi-Fi-itis, which we all occasionally suffer from.

What I am looking for is the CD which has had most effect on you in the last year.

I will start it off with Lene Marlin's "Playing the game". Since I bought it, it has been on my player every few days. It has some of the catchiest tunes and beautiful singing I have heard in a long, long time.

Nic.

Joel has threatened to give a good whipping to the person who started a "CD of the year" thread prematurely. I sort of agree, as I do a lot of buying in the fall. Perhaps we could wait until December at least?

Vuk.

My Naim dealer didn't tell me I'd have to feed the bloody thing.

So anyway; when I'd worked that out.........

Vigilantes Of Love I suppose with 'Audible Sigh'

Thanks again to 'Uncle Bob Harris'.
