Nope, I have never questioned a penny I have spent on any of my hi-fi.

I thoroughly enjoy my music and thats what its all about.

Would say the same as Polarbear, also because I only put the money down for hi-fi I can afford, wich also makes the upgrade route longer so there is always something even nicer to look forward too when the money is there. In december the cds3 is all mine, and maybe it will be time to swap one of my 200 with a 250 in my active setup.

Cant say I have to be honest. My Naim system and my music is essential to me. If I did not spend my money on Naim stuff and music I would only spend it on something else anyway and right now I cant think of anything better. Next on my list is a nice 102 Smile

Personally I spent £s not $s, but even so, there are no regrets.

Oh I did upgrades when I had money. then a couple years back I had no income and health problems. I had always thought if that happened I'd just lay around and enjoy the music. It didn't work out that way, I was too miserable to enjoy anything for a year. But now in better health and a bit of money flowing again I just bought another upgrade, BUT THIS IS THE LAST!!!!

One friend likes old sports cars and says it's the same thing. I like music and live concerts, some guys buy Beemers or Ferraris or Astin Martins. You can't take it with you tho don't put yourself in the poor house. I say put as much into a retirement fund as you do your system, BOTH will make you smile.

When I broke the needle on my Lyra Dorian, I thought about it. But then it was a excellent moment to upgrade...

Otherwise, no.

I never question the amount I have already spent on Naim. I do, however, question the amount I see myself spending on Naim in the future!

Note to self: stay away from Forum!

I think it depends on how easily the money earned in the first place.

Yes, I do -- and I reassure myself that most of my naim equipment was bought second hand, and thus I could get most of it back if i needed to sell

Only now and then when I think how much the Fraim cost me and quite often when my good wife reminds me how much I have spent.

But the sound is glorious.

Being Scottish I fret about it before I spend it - but once the £'s are converted into music I find I don't worry about it at all.

Me too, but other than that I don't worry that much.

I got my Nait's (Nait-1 and CB and Olive Nait-2's) all second hand, and they remaine(d) good value.
The pre-power combo's I had (72/180, 102/180, 82/180) I also bought s/h, so I haven't lost truckloads of money there either.
