Bev,

I have found the following to work for me:

1. Clear your browser cache
2. Close your browser and restart it
3. Go to the forum, but do not login
4. Go into a particular thread
5. Select Find -> Advanced
6. You should be prompted to login. Do so.
7. Type in search requirements, and keep everything crossed!

Or, the following has also been found to work, without the need to clear your browser cache:

1. Go into a particular thread
2. Select Find -> Advanced
3. You should be prompted to login. Do so.
4. Type in search requirements

I've used the first option on several browsers/operating systems and it seems to work.

Mark.

Can we not get a simple answer for once and for all on this issue from the moderators or anyone who has a clue on this forum???

If this forum is really the best efforts of a 12 year old school kid running a homework project on the side then I can accept the lack of a search facility.

If this on the other hand is the public front of a world renowned, high end, high priced electronics manufacturing organization (which it would appear to be) then I think this is totally unacceptable.

If this forum was actualy a piece of Naim hardware I am pretty sure it would be being FedEx'd back to darkest Salisbury for a good sorting out with embarased looks all round.

If there are issues with Infopops software then please put a sticky post and just let everyone know it is being looked into.

Regards

Richard

It's a cunning ploy on behalf of the moderators. If everyone did a search on what interested them then there would be no need to ask the same old questions over and over again.

Actively enjoying it all

Laughing all the way to the banks.

You could google them just too how rich they have become on the back of this software Mad

Ted O'Neill - Chief Executive Officer and Founder

Mr. O'Neill is singularly responsible for the creation of the world's most popular and commercially successful online message board technology. He now directs the efforts of an outstanding team of Infopop engineers and communication professionals who are extending his vision into next generation application services. Ted began Infopop in 1996 in Washington, DC, where he was regarded as one of the most prominent CGI programmers on the Internet. The graphical user interface Ted developed for the UBB.classicâ„¢ software has become the acknowledged industry standard, attracting a user base of nearly 7 million netizens. In 1999, Infopop moved to the Pacific Northwest, where Ted was named one of the top 25 most influential Internet professionals by Seattle Magazine.

Rosemary O'Neill - President and Co-Founder

Ms. O'Neill has been with Infopop since its founding in 1996, and was instrumental in managing the company's growth from two people to a staff of 20+. She brings over 13 years of experience in corporate communications and marketing to the Infopop team, having previously served as Corporate Marketing Manager and senior technical writer/editor in the environmental services and engineering industry. She is a member of the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs, and in February 2001, was invited to present Infopop at the Silicon Valley Springboard venture capital forum.

It's still a pile of poo however much money they make.
  • No threading
  • no search facilities
  • desperately slow
  • expansive downtimes

I really miss the old forum.

"Is there anybody out there?"

No sesponse to rgame's thoughtful question?

I still think vBulletin is a superior product although has got a bit of a fussy presentation in it's latest guise.
I am the first to admit to being no expert but if I...Poop looks like, smells like and probably tastes like then it probaly is ....sh*t
I have no experience of the previouse forum so have no comment on that.
As mentioned before if this was a product of our hosts it should have been recalled if it managed to escape into reallity.
