Is it ok to put small nails in the plastic/teflon between the two strands of the cable to fix it on the wooden floor socket along the walls?

Why not get some self-adhesive plastic cup hooks? I may be verging on nurdiness, but I fancied I heard a more open sound when I raised my (Linn) cables off the floor.

Placing metal between the cables will obviously modify the dielectric profile slightly. Whether it would make a difference, who could say? (I am sure one of our learned Naimophiles will).

On the other hand you may have discovered a Peter Belt-like tweak which will focus unwanted energy. Smile
