Who can tell?
It will happen this year acc. to my source. Linn can't count on Aro owners to switch to keel and Ekos but with Aro keel they could take those clients on board for the next LP12 upgrades with boutique prices.

I was being deliberately elusive, not wanting to give away what I knew... :-)
Bottle of Ruinart champagne to Pete if he pulls this off.

Currently, two of my Aro's are north of the border for evaluations....
I must have missed this last night! Good news, well done Peter. Let's hope the sound is right then, but I'm sure it will be. Mark

Wont Ivor get upset when all his employees move to a competitor's product?

There are only a few dealers who still carry both ranges AND can demonstrate the differences on similarly-configured 'tables–in the good ol' Eighties, this was the net effect of the "scorched earth" (neither "flat" nor "round") approach to distribution that transpired. I'm sure this was slightly different in the U.K. than the U.S. Choice was lost–the net effect of which has been a significantly diminished enthusiasm for Linn-Naim combinations, as the fun ride that was the early Eighties has come to a rusty halt.

*and* who have the skills to set up an lp12 with aro properly. This is a fingers of one hand thing even here in the uk in terms of dealers. Havingt experienced some usa naim dealers this year, I would be getting a flight over to the uk to do some listening, to be brutally frank. And then get said chosen finger-of-one-hand to fly back to usa to do the install and setup.

The same can be said for other combinations on an LP12 or others. Unfortunately a good mechanic can not make up for poor design, no matter how good they are.
