Thanks James.

Always nice to socialise with the similarly afflicted and discover unfamiliar music.

Toumani Diabate, 'Mande Variations' was new to me, and delightfully hypnotic. Lovely clean recording too.

And Zero 7, 'When it Falls' on vinyl absolutely slaughtered its CD variant, with simply better information retrieval/layering and a nicer presentation.

Gramophones eh? I'm still scratching my head.

John.

Dear J.N. Michael and SJB ,

Can i come too.

It has been nearly two years since i moved south and i miss the visits to each others homes for good company, food and great music.

It always cost me a fortune in purchasing a lot of the music i heard at these soirees.

Here in Sydney i am in both of the hifi clubs and we go round each others homes too.

In fact i am having a 555 552 300 big NEAT's visiting my humble abode next week.

It will be interesting to see what Lontano makes of my humble systems.

Good times past.

The Norfolk Suffolk bunch were very hospitable and kind.

regards from the Antipodes.

David

Dear Chris,

i think you misunderstood.

The owner of that NAIM system is visiting me to listen to my NON NAIM systems. I have 4 systems running three of which use my own speaker designs and the fourth uses large corner horns and valve amps. So should be an entertaining time.

So it will be interesting to see what his impressions of my Very Non NAIM systems will be.

He has excellent musical taste so i anticipate that i will be parting with hard earned to purchase some of the music that he will play.

regards David

We miss you.

All the best from (warmish) Norfolk and Suffolk UK.

Dear Mike and John,

Sniff Sniff i miss you guys too.

No return to UK unless immigration recommend it.

End of Aug i will be applying for permanent residency which will enable me to stay in Aus.

So at this time i am not planning to visit UK. Too much to see here.

So far been to Hobart Tasmania, The Hunter Valley north of Sydney, Katoomba west of Sydney, Bathurst 3 hours west of Sydney, Perth WA, and Gladstone 3 hours north of Adelaide.

So hardly touched the surface. Hope to visit Queensland at Xmas but not decided where in QLD to visit.

Mike the email address i have for you no longer seems to work.

regards David

In sunny and warm Sydney.
