I am on the verge of buying a CDX. We have lived with & thoroughly enjoyed our Roksan 3 box player for the past 7 years, but feel that a CDX is a significant improvement & the option of XPS in the future is attractive.
I spent some time today weighing up the used verses new with interest free options. I think that used at a sensible price is probably the best bet. The query I have is has the CDX changed in any way since it's introduction, & if so what are the differences? BTW does anyone know of a CDX at a sensible price? Bob |

Depends what you mean by reasonable. Try:- http://www.audio-t.co.uk/html/offers/digital.html Or if you are in the North of England Audio Excellence (use of search engine left as an exercise for the student.) I may be teaching grandma to suck eggs at this point?? Bargins do appear - but they also go very quickly as well - they also have a service for you to register a 'need' and they will call you if what you want appears. Jonathan |

Jonathan,
Thanks for that info. After looking at their site I contacted Enfield branch who had one for 1500 UKP ( this is my ball park ) but it had gone. One will turn up, it's just a question of being patient. Bob |

There is also:- http://www.bada.co.uk/frameset.htm Which has some of the audio-t stuff on it and some other BADA gear. I just checked and neither this or the audio excellence site http://www.audio-excellence.co.uk/bargains.html have a CDX at present - but might also help if you want to keep looking. They all seem to update at random. Jonathan |
