Richard,

Breathtaking is the right word alright! Big Grin

Sound is gorgeous! And large.
It is amazingly coherent from the treble down to the bass.
With the Naim electronics, the Amati's produce a very, very engaging/involving sound without being aggressive in anyway. Very exciting and very easy to listen to at the same time.
Absolutely grain free. One of the smoothest speakers I have heard.
Because of it's well balanced sound, there is great clarity.
Incredible dynamics.
One of the most realistic soundstages I have heard. Part of this whole soundstage thing is simple physics but the clarity and balance of the speaker made the instruments and singers in the soundstage stand out even more.

Last but not the least, listening at low level is just amazing! Big Grin

If you demo the Amati Anniversario you might want to listen to them with the 300 and the 500 to see which one works the best for you Winker

Regards,
Edouard

Keep enjoying, Edouard!!

I read several previous posts you've written in the past regarding the Amati's and I have got the impression that THESE are the speakers that are out of this world!!!

I personally have managed to upgrade my own system further and will be updating my profile when my 555PS arrives next week!!

Surely your system needs to warm up again now you are back to listen to it? I guess the sound will begin improving again?!!!

Regards,

Jon

Edouard, my dear friend. I wish we were neighbors so I could hook up my 500 to your beautiful Amanti's.

Jon,

Get the equation right between electronic, speakers and room and the Amati's sound out of this world Winker

Gary,

I just love the rightness and the musicaloty of the 300 Smile

Regards,
Edouard

Bonjour cher Chris,

How I wish we were neighbour, who knows maybe one day I'll move to the West coast Smile
Many people in US drive the Amati's with the 500 and I do know that the result is stunning, from what I have been told...
At any rate with the 300 the Amati's sound just fantastic Big Grin
But I would love to hear the 500 as well with them Winker
Maybe I'll take the Amati's with me when I visit you next year Big Grin

Best,
Edouard

Edouard,

Reading through this thread again, and the threads created on the Powerline, can you see yourself adding this to your setup?

I have to ask that as so much praise has been made of your system by yourself and others, and my argument always stands that something can always be made better.

Idle curiousity that's all!

Regards,

Jon

Jon,

Sorry if I repeat myself but since I got the 300 and the SF Amati Anniversario in the system I never question it, not that I try not to, but the music sounds SO right and beautiful that nothing can please my ears more...and believe me I've listened to quite many high end systems in different parts of the world.
I'm extremely happy with what I succeeded to achieve, I think it's the case of most of us anyway Smile
For sure I've been extremely lucky with my choice of speaker Big Grin

That said I will of course try the powerline when I'll have a chance, but it's the hydra version of the powerline I would be mostly interested in Winker

Regards,
Edouard

Edouard,

I have to thus say again how envious I am!! You have said it several times in this thread that the balance must exist between room and electronics.

I'm sure the 552 must play a big part, but I think the 555PS lets the CDS3 deliver to its max. I am just speculating on others' posts (for which I trust in) - looks like that is my last missing piece then I guess!

Do I then get an n-Sub?

Sorry for rambling here, but the 'just right' sound which we all aspire to must be unique for each room and so your Amatis are the Goddesses for your room??!! (Please forgive the pun!)

Regards,

Jon
