So, I've been on again off again in search of speakers and just recently my dealer brought in a set of Proac Response Five's. He is giving me first dibs on them and I've been demoing them since last Thursday. Current setup is 200/hi/napsc/202/cdx2/lingo/lp12. They sound absolutely incredible compared to an old set of canton ct-90's I have. He is asking $6500 US and was wondering if i can do any better with something else? any thougts would be helpful

I have one pair of them since 2001 and have no plans (and think will not have in the future) to change them. I have solid state and tube amps and they sound very very good with both of them. The ATC mid driver is special i guess...

Thanks Fernando, was wondering if anyone else had opinions on different speakers in that price range.
